I guess to begin with an explanation of the title to this blog would help. About two years ago my wife and I decided that as a christian family we had an obligation to perserve God's world. We started by recycling, changing the lights in our house to energy efficient flourecent bulbs, and changing our heat from LP gas to high efficency electric heat pumps. At that time my main hobby was riding atv's and one day while driving home from work I passed a local bike shop that had a neon sign in the window that read " Burn Fat Not Oil". It occured to me that the hobby I was so fond of wasn't very environmentally friendly. I came home and listed my atv on craigslist that evening and when it sold I went out and bought my entire family bicycles. Now my favorite pastime is going to the Knoxville Sk8tPark or doing some urban assault riding with my son or riding a local greenway with the whole family.Dad's ride: Custom Diamond Back Accomplice

My hope is to use this blog to share my family's bicycling experiences and the fun we have going "green".
